Chikkamagaluru: Condemning the gruesome murder of Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal, shopkeepers had shut their shops voluntarily in Mudigere Taluk, here on Friday.
As per the reports, the shop owners had come in support of the bandh call and had decided to keep their shops closed from 6 AM to 6 PM. The weekly shandy market was also closed. Villagers who had reached the town to shop were unaware of the bandh. They had to go back empty-handed.
Meanwhile, government offices, buses, and financial institutions were observed working as usual.
