Udayavani’s ‘Navaroopa’ initiative invites women to celebrate Navaratri with style and spirit

Team Udayavani, Oct 3, 2024, 9:26 AM IST

To amplify the festive spirit of Sharan Navaratri, during which Durga is worshipped in her nine forms, Udayavani has brought back its popular “Navaroopa” initiative.

From October 3 to October 11, women and girls are encouraged to participate by wearing traditional sarees or attire in specific colors each day, taking group photos, and sending them to Udayavani for the chance to be featured.

Families, office colleagues, friends, and group members from various organizations are invited to participate in this celebration. To join the “Navaroopa” festivities, participants must take photos in the designated color of the day and submit them to Udayavani’s WhatsApp number by 3 PM on the same day. Old photos will not be considered.

Icons from Various Fields Join “Navaroopa”

Just like in the past two years, this year’s Navaroopa will see notable women achievers from various fields participating, including Padma Bhushan awardee B. Saroja Devi, Central Sahitya Academy Award winner Vaidehi, award-winning playback singer M.D. Pallavi, Indian women’s cricketer Shreyanka Patil, actresses Rukmini Vasanth and Madhura R.J., fashion stylist Pragati Shetty, jeweler Sandhya Kamath, and Hangyo Ice Cream’s Deepa Pai. Their involvement will enhance the joy of Navaroopa.

How to Participate Easily

*Send a “Hello” or “Hi” message to Udayavani’s Navaroopa WhatsApp number at 6364888901.
*Choose your taluk from the options in the reply.
*Select the best group photo from your gallery, attach it, and add a caption with your team name and address.
*After submission, you will receive an acknowledgment message from Udayavani.

Daily Lucky Draw and Bumper Prizes

Participants should send group photos of three or more people wearing the traditional sarees or attire of the day. Each day, three lucky winners will be chosen, and a final bumper prize will be awarded to three overall winners.

The best photos will be published in the next day’s edition of Udayavani.
