Udupi: 11 PFI activists booked for protesting without permission, blocking of roads

Udupi: The Udupi City Police booked 11 Popular Front of India (PFI) activists under the charges of not availing permission for the protest and for disrupting public life by road blockade.
Activists booked are Sadique Ahamed (40), Afroz K (39), Ilyas Saheb (46), Irshad (37), Fayaz Ahamed (39), Mohammed Ashraf (43), Haroon Rasheed (42), Mohammed Juriaj (42), Ishaq Kidwai (30), Shaukat Ali (31), and Mohammed Zaid.
On Thursday, September 22, PFI activists staged protests on Court Road and other streets of the city condemning the NIA raids on the PFI office and residence of its leaders.
Moreover, they allegedly protested by blocking roads and without taking prior permission from the police department.
