Udupi: 40 new COVID-19 cases detected on July 6

Udupi: 40 people have been reported to be COVID-19 positive in the coastal district. This has increased the total number of infected persons in the district to 1,362.
Till date, 18,542 samples have been collected for testing. Of this, 15,540 samples have reported negative and 1,362 have tested positive. 1,640 samples test report are awaited.
1,154 COVID-19 positive cases have been discharged from hospitals till date and three have died due to the virus.
Presently, 205 active cases are receiving treatment in the hospital.
