Udupi: 45 Covid-19 patients discharged post recovery

Udupi: A total of 45 coronavirus patients, including 17 children were discharged after recovery from the designated hospital in Udupi. This comes as a big relief amid the rising number of cases in the district.

A total of 164 cases has been confirmed in the district so far.

Udupi Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha confirmed the news of the discharge of 45 covid patients from TMA Pai Hospital on Saturday.

As per the revised guidelines issued by the government, asymptomatic patients who underwent seven days of treatment and tested negative have been discharged today. They will be in home quarantine for next few days. They must report themselves if symptoms appear.

Meanwhile he also warned of action who do not wear mask in public. A first time offense will attract a fine and if repeated action will be taken, he added.
