Udupi: 561 new COVID-19 cases, 585 discharges and 3 deaths on June 4

Udupi: A total of 561 new cases of COVID-19 were found in the Udupi district on Friday.

An 85-year-old woman from Karkala, an 89-year-old man and a 66-year-old man from Udupi succumbed to the virus.

227 cases were reported in Udupi taluk, 226 in Kundapur taluk and 102 in Karkala and two from another district.

A total of 3,326 samples were tested.

585 people have been discharged after recovery from the hospital.

Presently, there are 4,506 active cases in the district.

On Friday, 5,494 people were administered the first dose of the vaccine and 1,311 the second dose.

A total of 2,63,845 people have been administered the first dose of the vaccine vaccinated for the first time and 85,796 have received the second dose.
