Udupi: Another COVID-19 positive; day’s total in State rises to 143

Udupi: Another person in the district was confirmed as COVID1-19 positive on May 21.

The COVID-19 positive patient recently returned from the UAE.

Of the 27 new cases in the district, 22 cases had recently returned from Maharashtra.

A total of 143 people in the State were detected to be COVID-19 on May 12, according to the State’s Health Department.

The afternoon bulletin by the Department reported 116 COVID-19 positive cases. 18 cases in Mandya, 5 in Raichur, 2 in Kolar, 1 each in Bengaluru and Udupi. However, by the evening bulletin, the cases rose to 143.

Most of the positive cases being detected are those who have recently returned from other States or countries.
