Udupi: Arun Yogiraj, the sculptor who carved the idol of Balarama in Ayodhya, visited Sri Krishna Matha today (June 1). He had the auspicious darshan of Sri Krishna Mukhyaprana and met with the Paryaya Sripada Sri Sugunendra Theeretha Swamiji of Sri Puthige Matha.
In a significant and heartfelt ceremony, the Paryaya Sri Pada honoured Yogiraj with the Anugraha Mantrakshate and blessed him.
Moved by the noble initiative of the Koti Gita Lekhana Yajna, a massive undertaking led by the Paryaya Sripada, Yogiraj voluntarily embraced the Gita Lekhana Deeksha. This Deeksha involves writing the verses of the Bhagavad Gita as a devotional practice.
