Udupi: Attention drawn to electric poles on road with ‘Nee Thantre Ba Thant’ phrase

Udupi: In a rather unusual way to draw the attention of officials to the unscientific works during road widening between Santhekatte to Kallianpur, unknown persons hung a board with the phrase, ‘Nee Thantre Ba Thant’ on an electric pole located on the road here.
While the roads on this stretch were widened recently, the shifting of electric poles by the roadside was not done.
The poles being located on the road itself could spell a disaster for motorists. It is gathered that Mescom authorities have begun the task of shifting these poles now.
It may be recalled that the ‘Nee Thantre Ba Thant’ phrase had created quite a stir after being used at a political event in Mangaluru city recently.
