An auto-rickshaw driver experienced a heart attack while his vehicle was in motion on Thursday in Udupi.
Suresh, a resident of Kadubettu, was transporting two women passengers from Ajjarkadu to Udupi bus stand when he suddenly collapsed due to a cardiac arrest. Responding swiftly, another auto-rickshaw driver and bystanders on the same route rushed to Suresh’s aid, transporting him to Ajjarakadu Hospital. Subsequently, he was admitted to Manipal Hospital for further medical attention, and his current condition is reported to be serious.
The auto-rickshaw, with Suresh incapacitated, veered in the opposite direction and collided with an electric pole. Fortunately, one of the female passengers sustained injuries but managed to escape without major harm.
