Udupi: Bike rider killed after being hit by tipper lorry

Udupi: A biker rider was killed after being rammed by a tipper lorry near Nittur on Thursday night.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Rashid (60), a resident of Ambagilu.
According to sources, Rashid, a samosa seller, was on his way home after work when the accident took place.
As he reached Manipal Inn Hotel a speeding tipper lorry rammed into the motorbike from behind and knocked him down. The force of the impact was so severe that the helmet he was wearing was crushed.
A case has been registered at Udupi Traffic police station.
