Udupi: BJP held a roadshow in the city in support of its candidate Yashpal Suvarna on Wednesday, which was attended by Union Minister of State for Co-operation B L Verma. Thousands of activists participated in the march and raised pro-BJP and pro-Modi slogans.
During the roadshow, B L Verma said that the BJP has emerged as a people’s party by providing “pro-people governance” in India. He further added that due to the visionary work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, “India is currently ranked 10th globally.” He highlighted the developmental work undertaken by the BJP government and urged the people to support the party for the development of Udupi and the country.
MLA Raghupati Bhat also spoke at the event and praised the developmental work carried out by the BJP in Udupi. He urged the voters to ensure that Yashpal Suvarna wins by a huge margin to continue the progress in the region.
The roadshow was attended by several BJP leaders, including Mumbai North MP Gopal Shetty, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, Mahesh Thakur, Bykadi Suprasad Shetty, Pratap Shetty Cherkady, Vijaya Kodavoor, Praveen Shetty Kappettu, Jyothi Shet, and Veena Naik.
Notably, Kadekaru grama panchayat member and Congress worker Satish Kotian also joined the BJP in the presence of union minister.
