Udupi: In a commendable display of presence of mind, a private bus driver in Udupi took immediate action when a student suddenly fell ill during a bus journey on Thursday, August 22.

The incident occurred when a student boarded the AKMS bus at Mulki to travel to Udupi, as she usually did. The bus, which was en route from Mangaluru to Manipal, had just passed Katpadi and was nearing Udyavara when the student began to feel unwell.

The bus driver, Naseef, and the conductor, Mohith, quickly assessed the situation and decided to divert the bus directly to the TMA Pai Hospital in Udupi. Upon arrival, the student was admitted to the hospital and received prompt medical treatment.

The swift and decisive actions of the AKMS driver and conductor in ensuring the student received timely medical care have been widely appreciated by the public.
