Udupi: Hindu activists, on Friday, allegedly attacked a Christian prayer center at Anandi Maidan of Nakre in Kukkundoor village of Karkala on allegations of illegal religious conversion.
Activists of Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV) barged into the Pragathi Center and a heated argument ensued between the HJV activists and those praying in the center.
It is said that the prayer center is led by a person named Benedict and does not have any approval from the administration.
Prakash Kukkehalli, leader of HJV, said that hundreds of Hindus are converted by Christian missionaries and urged police to take strict action against the concerned.
