Udupi: National Student Union of India has warned of legal action against the principal of Udupi government college for not allowing the girl students wearing Hijab to enter the classroom.
It is said that the NSUI members on Friday had visited the college to discuss the issue but the college office was closed.
Enraged by this, NSUI members said that a writ petition will be filed against the principal of the college for playing with the future of the students.
However, college authorities claimed that the college was closed due to 7 people including a staff member testing positive for Covid-19.
The college principal said that they had no knowledge of NSUI members visiting the college and the issue has already been discussed with the parents.
