Tensions rose as students affiliated with the Akhil Bharat Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest near the Martyrs’ Memorial in Ajjarkad today, expressing their outrage over the shooting of private videos of girls at a college in Udupi.

The demonstration took an unexpected turn as an altercation erupted between the agitated students and the local police personnel.

The ABVP students demanded the immediate presence of the District Superintendent of Police (DSP) in response to the incident.

In an effort to address the escalating situation, District Superintendent of Police, Akshay Machindra, swiftly arrived at the protest site. The DSP acknowledged the appeal made by the students and engaged in a dialogue to hear their grievances.
