Udupi: The Health Department has filed complaints against two COVID-19 patients in the district for hiding their contact information.
COVID-19 patient number10186 and 10187 had lied about their travel and contact information hence health department officials lodged complaints against them at the police station.
The department stated that due to the patients’ false information they were not tracing the contacts with whom the patients had contact with, this a criminal offence. The department further requested the general public to cooperate with them in their fight against COVID-19.
The patients had travelled to several places but had lied that they never moved out. The truth came out after their call details were checked. It was found out that four other COVID-19 patients had come in contact with them.
