Udupi Congress holds protest opposing hefty fines under MVA

Udupi: A protest was conducted by Udupi Congress opposing the Modi led union government’s rule of drastically increasing the fines through the new Motor Vehicles Act and demanding the government to provide compensation to the victims of the floods.
Former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, former MLA U R Sabhapati, Congress district president Ashok Kodavuru and others were part of the protest.
Congress activists took out a protest march in this regard and the protest was held in the middle of the road by stopping the traffic on one side of the road.
