Udupi: A POCSO court here sentenced a daily wage earner to life imprisonment for impregnating a 13-year-old.
The guilty man has also been fined a total of Rs 20,000.
The crime was reportedly committed in 2018. The girl had come to the house of the guilty within Karkala police station limits for unspecified reasons.
The man had sexual contact with her leading to her impregnation.
Later when her parents found out that she is pregnant and about the incident at the man’s house, they filed a police complaint.
