Udupi: DC Kurma Rao receives National award for service towards prevention of child drug abuse, trafficking

Udupi: Udupi District’s deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao M on Wednesday received a National award for his service towards preventing Child drug abuse and trafficking.
Rao was given the award by the DG, NCB, and Chairperson, of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
Around 20 districts were selected at all India level for the extraordinary work done in “Prevention of Drugs and Substance Abuse among Children & Illicit Trafficking.” Udupi is the only district to be selected from Karnataka.
Wilfred D’Souza, DYO, NYK, Udupi received the award on behalf of the DC.
