Udupi dist admin seizes vehicles for lockdown violations

Udupi: The district administration here started taking strict action against lockdown guidelines violators on Wednesday.
As per the orders of Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha, many vehicles that were unnecessarily moving in the town were seized and non-essential shops, that were open, were fined.
The police seized more than 25 cars and 30 two-wheelers and also fined their owners.
Police officials warned that strict action will be taken against those who come out of their houses for stray walking adding that essential items should be purchased from shops near one’s home.
