Udupi: District administration allows book stores, Mobile phone shops to open for a day on Wednesday

In order to facilitate online classes, the District administration has allowed bookstores and mobile shops to open in Udupi for a day on 16th June.

The administration announced that bookstall/stationery shops and mobile stores can function on the 16th of June from 6am to 2pm.

Also, from June 14, the time limit for buying and selling essential commodities has been extended from 6 am to 2 pm.

The lockdown will continue in the district. There are certain exemptions on essential activities but the administration has received several complaints regarding a few organizations conducting public events without permission.  Strict action will be taken against them, the notification read.
