Udupi: Dist’s first COVID-19 patient discharged after recovery

Udupi: The district’s first COVID-19 positive patient has recovered completely and was discharged from Dr T M A Pai Hospital here on Saturday, April 11.
The person had returned from Dubai on March 18 and was admitted to the district hospital here on March 23.
District health officer Dr Sudhirchandra Sood stated that the patient has recovered completely as his latest samples tested negative twice and he has already served a 14-day quarantine in the hospital and will be serving another 14-day home quarantine.
Dr Sood also informed that a pregnant COVID-19 patient from Bhatkal was admitted on Thursday, April 9 and is undergoing treatment.
