Mangaluru, April 10: The District Commissioners of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada have announced a holiday for their respective districts on April 10,  in view of  Eid celebrations.

Traditionally, the government had designated April 11 as the official Eid holiday. However, the authorities have amended the order to declare a general holiday for DK and Udupi districts on April 10.

This decision comes as Muslims in the area observe Eid on April 10, prompting the local administration to adjust the holiday schedule accordingly.
