Udupi: Electronics and clothing shops to open from May 4

Udupi: Electronics and clothing shops closed for more than a month in the lockdown will be operational in the district from May 4.

Electronic shops, including mobile phones showrooms in the district, will be open from 7 am to 1 pm. However, none of the shops can keep their air conditioninig on.

Only 10 employees can be working at electronics shop and only 10 buyers can be allowed in the shop at a time.

In clothing shops its 25 employees and 25 buyers.

“Shops can allow buyers to enter only after the same number of them have left the shop. Accordingly, shops should make waiting arrangements. If any shop is found violating these regulations and social distancing norms then strict action will be taken against such shops,” said Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha to Udayavani.
