Udupi: The voting process for the elderly and disabled voters has been completed, and about 97% of the eligible population turned up to cast their votes. In Byndoor, Kundapur, and Karkala 98 percent of voters exercised their franchise, while Udupi and Kapu recorded 97 percent. Out of the total  4816 eligible voters, 4692 individuals exercised their right to vote.

Some of the eligible voters were unable to do so due to various reasons. Out of the 124 uncirculated votes, 55 individuals had passed away, and their names had not yet been removed from the voter list. Despite two visits to the homes of 66 people, polling was not possible as they were not available. Additionally, 30 people did not vote in Byndoor, 23 in Kundapur, 28 in Udupi, 18 in Kapu, and 25 in Karkala.

Furthermore, out of the 4,060 people above the age of 80 years, only 3,942 were able to vote, resulting in a 97% voter turnout. Unfortunately, votes of 63 of those above the age of 80 could not be polled due to their unavailability, despite two visits to their homes. Additionally, 52 individuals had passed away, and one each in Byndoor, Udupi, and Karkala refused to vote, resulting in a total of 118 individuals not being able to exercise their right to vote.

On a positive note, the disabled community in Udupi witnessed a 100% voter turnout with 200 out of 202 people casting their votes while 2 were found to have passed away.
