Udupi: Final rites of Veteran BJP leader Somashekhar Bhat held

Udupi bid farewell to veteran BJP leader Somashekhar Bhat as his last rites were solemnly performed at Beedinagudde Hindu Rudrabhoomi on Monday.

In the morning,  Bhat’s residence in Kadubettu opened its doors for the public to pay their respects to the departed leader. Leaders from the Sangh Parivar, including RSS and BJP representatives, along with family members, dignitaries from various sectors, and the public, gathered for the final moments.

The BJP leaders, in a symbolic gesture, draped the party flag over the departed leader’s body. Subsequently, family members conducted the last rites in Beedinagudde.

Prominent figures such as RSS Senior Pracharak Da Ma Ravindra, Prantha Saha Karyavaha PS Prakash, Vibhaga Sanghchalak Dr. Narayan Shenoy, Vibhaga Karyavaha Vadiraj, Manipal Media Network Limited Executive Chairman T Satish Pai, and Taranga Weekly Managing Editor Dr Sandhya S Pai, joined numerous leaders, people’s representatives, and others for the final farewell.
