Udupi: Fines if not wearing masks, violating social distancing says DC

Udupi: In an official order, the district Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha has stated that a fine will be incurred on those not wearing masks and not maintaining social distancing while moving out.

The violators will have to pay Rs 200 if within city limits and Rs 100 anywhere else in the district.

The DC’s order further read that the district has been identified as a Green Zone for adopting effective methods in controlling COVID-19 from spreading.

Hence it is important to enforce strict measures to make sure that the district stays in the Green Zone, the order adds.
