Udupi: Fire breaks out at Dhanvantari Ayurvedic Hospital; no casualties reported

A fire broke out at the Dhanvantari Ayurvedic Hospital located near Doddanagudde Babbu Swamy Temple in Udupi. The fire department swiftly responded and is currently engaged in fire control operations.

It has been reported that renovation work was underway in the building, and fortunately, no patients were present at the time.

The incident occurred in the morning when staff arrived for their daily duties. While starting work in the kitchen, they heard a noise from the hall, and upon inspection, they saw flames.

The staff immediately informed the doctors and the fire department. Two workers who were on the first floor at the time of the fire managed to escape safely. It is suspected that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.

The fire has been brought under control.
