Udupi: Firm deceived of Rs. 14.15 crore using fake documents

Udupi: A firm was allegedly duped of Rs. 14.15 crore using fake documents in the city.

A Mumbai-based firm owned by Suresh Bhandary entered an agreement with Dr Kshama Hegde, Sudhir Kumar P Hegde, and Vijayalaxmi Hegde for building an apartment complex at Manipal.

The agreement was signed on November 24, 2008.

Reports state that the accused had produced fake documents and maps of the site and produced the same to the government authorities, got the land conversion done.

The accused in violation of the joint development deed terms, gave 46 cents of land out of 2.11 acres of land in survey no. 345 at Manipal to Udupi municipality by way of donation.

The above-mentioned things have hindered the execution of the plan as predicted by Suresh Bhandary’s firm at the site.

They have suffered a loss of Rs 14.15 crore. A private complaint has been filed in the court alleging the individuals who duped to have violated the terms of the agreement and have created the firm.
