Udupi: Further relaxation in lockdown after June 14 likely

Udupi: The lockdown in the district here could be further relaxed from June 14.
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa held a video conference on Thursday with Deputy Commissioners of districts with a high COVID-19 positivity rate. Udupi DC G Jagadeesha was not called for this meeting which has been attributed to the disease coming under control in the district.
Presently, the COVID-19 positivity rate in the district is 9 per cent.
It was reported that more commercial and industrial entities and activities will be permitted from June 14. Presently, only groceries and other essential shops are allowed to be open between 6 and 10 am.
The complete lockdown of gram panchayats with more than fifty positive cases has reportedly yielded good results.
