Garuda gang war suspects in Udupi attempted to assault jail officials and staff at the Hiriyadka District Prison.

The incident occurred when under-trial prisoners Muhammad Ashiq and Muhammad Saklain caused trouble, citing delays in the prison call system (Pigeon Call System).

The suspects verbally abused Jailor S.A. Shirole and attempted to assault District Jail Superintendent Siddarama B. Patil and other staff members. They reportedly used chairs from the cell and a teapot from the kitchen in their assault attempt.

A case has been registered at the Hiriyadka Police Station in connection with the incident.
