Udupi: A gas cylinder explosion caused significant damage at an apartment on Badagupete Road near Kalsanka in Udupi on Monday, November 4, night during a party.
The incident occurred on the third floor of a three-story apartment where a group of migrant workers from West Bengal was hosting a party.
A gas leak reportedly led to the explosion, sparking a sudden fire in the apartment. Fortunately, those inside quickly evacuated and escaped unharmed.
The fire department was alerted immediately, and firefighters arrived on the scene to contain the blaze, preventing further disaster. Although there were no injuries, belongings inside the apartment were severely damaged due to the fire.
