Udupi: As part of the Bruhat Geetotsava organized by the Paryaya Sri Puthige Sri Krishna Matha, the Bhagavad Gita Yajna was successfully conducted on Saturday (Dec 28). Devotees from across India and abroad participated in a collective recitation of the entire Bhagavad Gita.
Paryaya Sri Sugunendra Tirtha Swamiji of Puthige Matha delivered a benedictory message. “In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna teaches the world to transform all actions into a form of yajna, thereby earning divine grace. Conducting a yajna through the sacred verses of this revered scripture is highly appropriate. May the supreme blessings of Lord Krishna be upon all participants,” he said.
Junior Paryaya Swamiji, Sri Sushrindra Tirtha Swamiji, was also present, and Yogendra Bhat performed the homa as part of the rituals.
Geetotsava Grand Finale Tomorrow:
The grand finale of the Geetotsava will take place on Sunday (Dec 29) at 5 PM in Rajangana. The event will feature a unique procession with a Gita Rath modeled after Partha Sarathi (Lord Krishna as Arjuna’s charioteer) being pulled around the Rajangana premises.
Prominent personalities, including renowned actor Upendra, retired High Court Chief Justice Dinesh, and Udupi District Judge Kiran S. Gangannavar, will attend the celebration.
