Udupi gets new taluks to its list

Udupi: Udupi district gets three new taluks – Byndoor, Brahmavara and Kaup. Revenue minister, Kagodu Thimmappa inaugurated the three new taluks on Wednesday.
People from these regions were requesting for a new taluk from long.
Addressing the gathering, minister said, “Citizens expect a transparent Government. As needs be, the state government works towards actualizing changes,”
Homeless people will be provided lands to build houses, he added.
Mangalore and Udupi will soon have a new sand mining policy. Mini Vidhan Soudha soon at Byndoor and Brahmavar, he added.
