A car and a fish truck were involved in a head-on collision near Ambalapadi on Wednesday, May 22.
The accident occurred when the fish truck, heading towards Kerala, swerved to avoid another vehicle that had suddenly entered the highway from the Ambalapadi service road. The truck driver lost control, causing the truck to cross the divider and collide with an oncoming car before overturning.
The occupants of the car sustained injuries and were taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment.
To avoid further disruption at the accident site, the fish were quickly transferred to another vehicle.
The Udupi traffic police arrived at the scene and ensured the smooth flow of traffic.
