Heavy rain and strong winds have caused extensive damage in various parts of the district. The roof sheets of the Brindavan building at the Sri Krishna Math Ashwattha Katte have been damaged.
In Hiriyadka, coconut trees were uprooted due to the storm, causing damage to two rickshaws and several houses. The intense winds late Thursday night left residents in shock.
Over the past two days, the extent of the damage has increased, with the Kundapura and Byndoor areas experiencing the most significant impact. In total, more than 70 houses in the district have been damaged.
