Udupi: Personal details of the girls protesting for the right to wear the hijab were leaked on social media. Their parents have complained to the police seeking strict action against the culprits.
On February 10, the parents of the six students handed a written complaint to Udupi Superintendent of Police N Vishnuvardhan asking him to take action against the miscreants who posted the phone numbers, addresses, and other personal information of the students online.
The personal details could be used to threaten them and unnecessarily target them, the parents alleged.
According to reports SP has asked the parents to file the information thread that mentioned the personal details of the students online and has assured strict action against the culprits behind the act.
