Udupi: The district hospital at Ajjarkad here saw a huge mass of people queuing for vaccination violating distancing norms.
Vaccination centres in the district introduced a token system to lessen the problem of crowding. However, as people did not know that the tokens will be issued at 9 am many started forming queues from 6 am.
Additionally, only 30 seats were arranged for people in the waiting area for issuing tokens, however, due to the large crowd, hundreds were seen standing in queues.
