Udupi: Krishna Idol found in Swarna River

Udupi: An idol of Gopalkrishna was found in the Swarna river near Bellampalli bridge on Monday, Aug 31.

It is said that the idol was found by local fishermen around 8 pm on Monday. After which the nearby residents Purandara Kotyan, Rakesh, Nishan, Rithik, Naveen, Dinesh Poojary and his team jumped into the river and examined the idol.

Praveen Shetty Bellampalli, President of Bellampalli Bhootaraja Sanniddhi said that the idol weighs around 8 kgs and has been handed over to the Hiriyadka Police station.
