Udupi: A mechanic working at the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation’s depot here has alleged that he was forced to work there by the depot’s manager.

Road transport employees across the State have declared an indefinite strike from April 7 onwards demanding the implementation of the 6th Pay Commission.

Speaking to reporters, he said that the mechanic further alleged that he was locked inside and made to work as no other workers had not come to work due to the strike.

He added that he has no other sources of income and is dependent on KSRTC for survival and he wishes that the government heeds to the workers’ demand soon.
