Udupi: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is set to roll out a special tour package, this year-end.
A special package to Goa has been arranged from Mangaluru KSRTC Depot, for which, the bookings are also opened in Udupi Depot.
As per the plan for the Udupi district, the KSRTC will be travelling to Anegudde, Hattiyangadi, Kamalashile, and Murdeshwar.
It is also planning to have trips to atleast three churches and mosques, respectively. Along with this, it is looking forward to rollout packages to beaches and waterfalls.
During this year’s Dasara and Diwali, KSRTC had arranged for “Temple Tourism” which included prominent temples of the state. It turned out to be a success.
Hence, KSRTC is planning to initiate a tourism package to different religious places and other tourist destinations from next year onwards. KSRTC is of the view that it will not only attract passengers but also boost the local economy.
Meanwhile, KSRTC Udupi Depot Manager, Shivaram Naik said, “We are planning to provide passengers a package at a reasonable cost to visit religious and tourist destinations. We have already received a positive response for the Dasara and Diwali packages. Hence, we are planning to initiate an extensive package”.
