Udupi: Man commits suicide inside Thekkatte’s Mahalingeshwara Temple

Thekkatte: A young man committed suicide by hanging himself inside the Mahalingeshwara temple here on Sunday morning.
The deceased youth has been identified as Chandra Poojari (35), a resident of Thekkatte’s Baralibettu. He was a centring technician.
Poojary had married two years ago. He visited the temple every day and assisted in the temple’s work.
It was reported that Poojary suffered from depression in recent days. He committed suicide by using the rope of a temple’s well.
The incident came to light when cleaning workers arrived at the temple in the morning.
The exact cause of suicide is yet to be ascertained.
