Udupi: Man from Mangaluru falls off moving train; found dead near railway tracks

Kedur: The mortal remains of a man were found near the railway tracks here on Friday morning. Reportedly, the man had fallen off a Mumbai-Mangaluru express train during the wee hours.
The deceased was identified as Nityananda Shet of Dongarakeri in Mangaluru.
It was found that Nityananda was returning home from Mumbai. Though the reason for the fall was not immediately known, it is suspected that it may have been an accident.
The incident came to light when the railway staff were conducting routine track inspections on Friday morning. Nityananda’s mobile phone was also nearby, which aided in identifying him.
Meanwhile, Kota police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating.
