Udupi: Man loses Rs 96,403 in KYC updation scam

A man in Udupi lost Rs 96,403 in an online KYC update scam.
K. Nazir, a resident of Kundapur registered a complaint at the CEN police station in this regard.
According to the complaint, he received an SMS on March 22 asking him to complete the bank KYC updation. Believing the message, he called the number mentioned in the message the next day.
He was then requested to share his bank account details and OTP. Following this, Rs 96,403 were withdrawn from his bank account.
