Udupi: Man sentenced for life for sexually abusing his daughters

Udupi: A special POCSO court here sentenced a man, accused of sexually abusing his daughters to life imprisonment.
The man reportedly abused his two teenaged daughters before and after the death of his wife, who was suffering from mental health issues.
Two cases were registered against him at Hebri and Karkala police stations.
The court heard the testimonies of the daughters and more than 20 other witnesses in the case before delivering the verdict.
The man has also been fined Rs 15,000 and the daughters have been granted a compensation of Rs 5 and Rs 1.5 lakhs respectively.
