Udupi: Two men attacked a handicapped bakery owner and also threatened to kill him on Thursday, July 8 in Bantakal, Udupi.
Ganesh Shetty (51) a resident of Heroor in Kaup taluk, runs a bakery store named Sai Baba in Bantakal. On Thursday, Ganesh closed his shop around 9 pm and was standing outside the shop when two men named Stephen Mendonca and Charan Shetty attacked him.
The assaulters then brought lethal weapons and were about to attack him when he raised an alarm and people immediately gathered at the spot. The accused then fled from the spot after warning Ganesh Shetty that he would be murdered.
A case has been registered.
