Police have detained nine Bangladeshi nationals near the Vadabandeshwara bus stand in Malpe, Udupi.
The individuals had reportedly secured jobs as fishing laborers in the area. The investigation began following the detention of Muhammad Manik at the Mangaluru International Airport while attempting to travel to Dubai.
Upon questioning, Manik provided information about others residing illegally in Malpe.
Authorities identified him as belonging to Manik Chowk, Rajshahi, Bangladesh. It was discovered that they had created fake identity documents, including Aadhaar cards, to stay and work in the area.
