Udupi: Old student calls upon relatives of deceased teacher to claim her body

Udupi: An old student of a teacher who passed away on Monday and whose family and relatives are unknown has requested on Facebook for them to come forward to perform her funeral.

Amrit Shenoy, in his Facebook post, has stated that Saroja, an employee at a student hostel at Kukkikatte in the district here has died of an illness.

He has said that he had known her for decades since he attended the Anganwadi in Olakadu.

Her dead body has been kept at the morgue in the district hospital at Ajjarkad. Her relatives are requested to contact me for the funeral or else a team of social worker will cremate her according to government regulations, the Facebook post read.
