Karkala: International powerlifter Akshata Poojary and other members of her family have dug 25 feet deep well in the courtyard of their house during the lockdown.
Akshata and her brothers, Arun and Ashok, and her sister’s children Sushanth, Sujith and Samit worked on digging the well in a week.
As the old well in their courtyard had become difficult to use the family had planned to dig a new well. But due to the lockdown, well diggers couldn’t come to work, so the family decided to do it themself.
